START WHERE YOU ARE

All too often it is asked, “Where do I begin to change the world?”

The simple question demands a simple answer:  Start where you are.

Dr. Jordan Peterson, a clinical psychologist, says:  “If you want to change the world, start with your own bedroom.  If you can’t organize and clean your bedroom, how can you expect to change the world?”

What can you control right now?  The facts are:

  1. You can clean your room.
  2. You can clean yourself and look your best.
  3. You can avoid conflict.
  4. You can be kind.
  5. You can speak positives.
  6. You can do something good just for today.

When people do not take responsibility for their lives, they are inviting themselves to be miserable.  Yet when people first take responsibility for themselves, life takes on meaning and purpose.  When we never quit, fight through life challenges and give more than we take, we make the world a better place.  Pain and disappointment then will not dominate life.

Where are you right now?  You can make today victorious by choosing one way to champion life and the people around you.  You will be deeply moved and anxious then to take another step.

Baby steps lead to big victories down life’s road!
