THE GLORY OF CREATION
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His handiwork. There is no speech or language where His word is not heard.” The psalmist continues to extol the grandeur of creation. All of nature, from the tiny bird to the galaxies of the heavens, sing in soft and loud voices the greatness of God.
Nature constantly shows us that God exists and how amazing a Creator He truly is. It displays an intelligent design, not just a random act or luck; it displays information as the work of a mind, not mere chance. I discovered the universe had a beginning with God’s words and were not a result of the “Big Bang” evolution theory.
The more we discover, the more evidence we have that God is the One responsible for nature and its laws. “Since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made” (Romans 1:20).
I also have discovered what a joy it is to celebrate God’s creation. Something amazing happens to our human spirit when we take time to delight in creation and honor the One who created this miracle world. If we go through a day, one day, without celebrating what God has made, it really is a lost day. So much gratitude is lost. What a privilege it is to breathe the created world’s oxygen, drink its water, eat its food, and see and feel its beauty.
Daily we will say “Thank you, God!”
