Words of Hope: Dad’s Last Podcast

I received a beautiful letter from William May who told me stories about his appreciation for my dad. He shared with me a podcast I didn’t know Dad was part of. It was Ric Hansen’s Amazing Greats podcast. It was published May 2021, and Dad would pass away a few months after this.

I listened as tears ran down my cheeks. I found immense gratitude listening to Dad’s voice again. I miss it so much. You may want to join me in listening: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1577602/8544690

Dad is sharing his faith in the podcast. I am touched by his deep passion and love for Jesus. I am so thankful to have a dad like him. He said, “I didn’t get the chance to have a good father,” but he did get the chance to be a great father. Dad said, “If I had the choice to have a great father or to be a great father, I would always choose to be a great father.” Jay and I were so blessed. I think of all the people who count Dad as a father figure. I get to have lunch soon with one. He is speaking for the Hoopfest Hall of Fame video that Dad will be inducted into in Spokane on Wednesday, June 21.

Take a few minutes to listen to my dad’s voice on this podcast, one of the most loving people you will ever meet.

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. – Romans 12: 9-11
