CUP OF JOY OVERFLOWING, Part II
If you could ask one request and receive it from God, what would it be? A million bucks? World peace? Cure for cancer? What would it be?
King Solomon asked for wisdom, and he said, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” Additionally, Solomon’s gift of wisdom gives us a profound insight into JOY: “A man has joy by the answer of his mouth.” (Proverbs 15:23)
Wisdom has the skill to cut to the chase: few words, profound logic, and crystal clear application. Whereas folly, fool’s gold education, rambles to and fro, many words, often illogical and cloudy application.
How much more clear could it be? You get joy by speaking joy! Change the way you speak, and you change the way you live! The facts are words matter; words have power; words build your world.
Do you want a cup of joy today? Then speak joy! No need for negative language. You will have what you speak today. We can pour ourselves a Cup of Joy right now. It is delicious in both good and bad situations. The key is to win the precious, right-now moment, which then will win the day.
Joy is not circumstantial; it is the Father’s gift to us. Don’t believe me? Then spend a day with me. You will see joy even in the infusion room at my oncologist’s office. We receive joy by speaking it. “A man has joy by the answer of his mouth.”
Speak joy today, my friends!
