A PRAYER FOR YOU
Years ago, a brilliant leader taught the magic learning number is 6. For example:
- If you want to remember a person’s name when introduced, silently repeat the name 6 times.
- If a math student wants to conquer a math problem, work it 6 times.
- If you want to master a book, read it 6 times.
Above all else, if you want to free your mind and spirit, a gracious, meaningful prayer is one by St. Ignatius of Loyola:
“Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty,
My knowledge, my understanding, and my entire will.
Take, Lord, and receive all I have and call my own.
You have given all to me; I give it all back to you.
Everything is Yours, do with it what You will.
Give me, Lord, only Your love and Your grace,
That is enough for me.”
Whenever I feel in want, I repeat this prayer 6 times. When you feel needful, I suggest your repetition if this prayer will fill your soul. And I guarantee you God’s love and grace will be your reward. You will be filled with a concerto of gratitude!
