DECIDE TO MAKE WISE DECISIONS

“Decide” is one of those highly interesting words in the English language.

“De” is an important prefix. It connotes taking away or removing.

“Cide” has many partners. Outside, inside, downside, upside, homicide, suicide, genocide.

Decide means to slice or cut. Decide involves a winner and a loser.

Decision making is a difficult skill to master. Every decision has three options.

Option one: Choose A
Option two: Choose B
Option three: Choose Nothing

2017 is here. Today is a new year.

New Year, new beginnings, new decisions.

What kind of year will you have?
What is one way you can be better by 2018?
What is one relationship you can better?
What new skill interests you?
Who do you need to forgive?
Who needs your love and encouragement?
What does Abba Father want from you?

Jesus was the Master at bringing people to make life changing decisions with questions such as:

Who do you say that I AM?
Who among you, without sin, cast the first stone?
Whose name is on the Roman coin?
Why do you come in the middle of the night to see me?
Is this your question or someone else’s?

Each of these questions demanded an answer!

Crowell’s elegant 2017 question for my faithful readers of Words of Hope.

What will you do to make 2017 the best it can be for you and those you love?

The clearer you are in what you want, the more likely you are to get what you want.

Happy New Year!
