About Words of Hope

Words of Hope is the free online library of Fred Crowell, founder of NBC Camps, and his daughter Jennifer Crowell Ferch: more than 1,500 short, practical articles on faith, family, parenting, grief and leadership, published by Crowell University since 2013.

Fred Crowell wrote Words of Hope to share faith in Christ, emotional intelligence, character and the practical lessons he learned coaching basketball and leading NBC Camps.

Fred passed away on August 11, 2021. A few weeks later his daughter, Jennifer Crowell Ferch, wrote her first Words of Hope in his place, and she has carried it on since, sharing the lessons her Dad taught her alongside favorites from his archive.
