A CHILD IS BORN

“Dad I never knew how much you loved me until Kingston was born.” – Jay Crowell

For unto us a child is born,
Unto us a son is given;
and the government will be upon his shoulder.
And his name will be called
wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of peace.
Of the increase His
Government & peace
There will be no end.

The year 1979, the month February, the day was number 4. It was the day, an experience waited and prayed for 10 years.

This momentous occasion was the birth of Fredric “Jay” Crowell.

As the Doctor received Jay into his new world, tears ran down my cheek and I heard myself saying to Abba Father, “See I told you I love you.”

Until children have children they cannot know how much their parents loved them. You can’t have what you don’t experience.

Until parents have children it is difficult to understand how much God loves us.

Until we know the Savior, we cannot fully know that the depth of love for God is love. This love surpasses all human love.

This love overcomes the child who has no father, the mother who has no child, the single person who has no spouse, the ones robbed of their health and all the hardships life brings.

With deep intimacy and the Blessed Holy Trinity, this love is a game changer.

Everything changes.

This is the transformation when Psalm 23 takes over. The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.

This is when we discover the reality of Paul’s true experience of being content with or without. It is more than enough.

This is the place where we live in the land of being joyful, thankful and at peace.

Sounds easy. This road is so hard, the only way I know how to live in this joy is to pick up my cross and follow Him daily.

When you win the moment you can win the hour; then the day. Some days are so tough it is just one step at a time. Joy is around the corner or the next corner. It is there, just keep moving one step at a time.
